My Petal isn't connecting or my device is not found, what should I do?
-
Make sure your Petal is charged. If actively charging, the light will stay green and turn off when fully charged.
-
Check and reset the Bluetooth® permissions for the Petal app:
(System Settings > Apps > Petal Wellness)

3. Toggle Bluetooth® off and back on:

4. After that, please check the state of the Bluetooth® connection on Petal by pressing the button once. The LED will blink red if it has established a Bluetooth® connection with your phone.
If you're still having trouble, follow these next steps to clear the device Bluetooth® bonding:
-
In iOS, go to Settings > Bluetooth® and find a petal device in the "My Devices" list.
-
Tap "i" then tap "Forget This Device"
-
Connect Petal to the charging cable to reboot it. The LED will quickly turn green, turn off, and turn green again.
-
Disconnect Petal from the charging cable.
-
Within 30 seconds, quickly press the button twice or until you see the LED (Blue or Red).
-
The LED will blink blue or red, then turn off — the device Bluetooth bonding is now cleared, and Petal is ready to pair again.
-
Go into the Petal app and see if your device can be found and paired.
How do I check if Petal is already paired?
Press the button once and the status LED will blink.
Blinking blue — Petal is not currently bonded to any phone (ready to pair).
Blinking white or red — Petal already has an active Bluetooth bond.
